„DAVO-Werkstattgespräche“
Workshop for Young Scholars
27th International DAVO-Congress
Osnabrück, 16−18 September 2021
During their academic qualification phase young scholars usually do not have proper opportunities to build up networks outside their affiliated institution and hardly get access to academic congresses to present their research results and expertise. Especially during the phase of work in progress external feedback and support on the project from peers and professionals as well as getting connected to other researchers is highly valuable.
DAVO-Werkstattgespräche is a platform for young scholars to present their academic qualification works and exchange with other scholars. The workshop has taken place for the first time in 2006 in Hamburg and has been held at each annual DAVO-Kongress since then.
Aim
As part of the DAVO-Kongress that takes place in Osnabrück from 16 to 18 September 2021, young scholars have the opportunity to present their research studies in progress (Master thesis or PhD) in German or English. Since the general idea of the workshop is not to present finished works, young scholars are explicitly invited to contribute their projects in an early conception or implementation stage.
Deadline
Applications should be sent before 15 June 2021 to Prof. Dr. Nadine Scharfenort (nadine@scharfenort.org).
Please submit the following information:
- Your name and institutional affiliation
- Title of the contribution
- Subject/hypotheses
- Methodological approach
- State of the art
- Estimated completion date
- Bibliography (5-6 citations)
After a review process you will get notified by 15 July 2021 if your submission has been accepted.
Please note that DAVO is not able to cover any expenses related to your participation in the workshop!
If you have any queries, please contact Nadine Scharfenort (nadine@scharfenort.org)
